Famous Veterans Day Poetry 2022

Remember us
We sit at our booths outside businesses looking for donations
We could use a little help from our beautiful nation
Don’t be discouraged if you haven’t any extra money to give
Please remember we fought bravely for your freedom so you could live
Please don’t walk by us with your head down in vain
It fills our hearts with a melancholy sadness and pain
Smiles are free and acknowledgement is certainly nice
Some of our sacrifices came at the ultimate price
Don’t fill our hearts and eyes with tears of sorrow
We brought you the hope of a better tomorrow
We hoped to bring you peace while you’d sleep each night
We worked tirelessly around the clock keeping up the fight
Our battle seemed endless,long and hard
It left our bodies and hearts deeply scarred
Without rhyme or reason we would do it again
Take the time to honor and remember us my friend
Together united with honor proudly we stand
Don’t forget about us leaving our memories ashes to ashes dust to dust in the sand
Find peace in your heart and do what you know to be true
Please pray for all of us the way we’ve done for all of you and the red,white and blue

Veteran’s Day Tribute
To the servicemen
who paid with their life
to ensure our freedom again
and to live without strife.

Your sacrifice I commemorate
in my humble way
and your memory I celebrate
on this Veteran’s Day.

Take A Moment To Thank A Veteran

When you see someone in a uniform,
Someone who serves us all,
Doing military duty,
Answering their country’s call,

Take a moment to thank them
For protecting what you hold dear;
Tell them you are proud of them;
Make it very clear.

Just tap them on the shoulder,
Give a smile, and say,
“Thanks for what you’re doing
To keep us safe in the USA!”

Veterans Day Poems Prayers

This is day is celebrated as an anniversary of the signing armistice, which is related to the first World War, a conflict between the Allied Nations and Germany in 1918. In the USA, on this Veterans Day Poems Prayers, there is a public holiday and they present thanks to their Veterans, who served for the state and saved it from other opponent states. They celebrate this day on November 11, every year.

Veterans Day
the veterans
are coming home
again
as I put a quarter
in the soda machine
and remember a poster
I once saw of a
gorgeous redhead
in a black dress
the veterans
are always coming home
from the latest war
and God must spend
a lot of time
dozing off
while people are busy
killing each other
and giving each
other medals
and somewhere
out in the desert
lies the hollow skull
of a yesterday cow
as dull and oblivious
and dessicated
as the noisy
crowd parading
down the street
behind me
a Georgia O’Keefe

Honor Our Veterans
we all love our freedom
yet we despise
the wars that have been fought
we say we love our Veterans,
but do we truly honor them?
is the concept of freedom
possible without the concept of war?
I honestly think not
contemplate that now and then
we all wish it could be so
but too naturally comes opposition
too many points of view
opposing ideals continuing to flow
one thing we must remember
our Veterans served our country
they did not start the wars
they answered the call of duty
so, if you love America
you must love our Veterans
for without them
we would have no freedom
God bless America!
And God bless our Veterans!

A Tribute to our Soldiers

Fare thee well our precious men and boys
Marching into war
Fighting for a purpose
Does anyone know what for

As some you return lying down
Instead of tall and strong
How can we all sit and watch
Surely this is wrong

Will you buy a poppy
Will you shed a tear
13,310 soldiers
Killed in 10 years

Downing street want to resign
Saying it is now the time
That’s not a victory we know its a crime
That’s not a victory on the front line

The soldiers do their jobs
Fighting for our Queen
Lets not forget though the military supplies
Not the best we have seen

A lack of helicopters sent to assist
These terrorists could now be missed
British soldiers now lost their lives
Us army men also lost to their wives

We need to help somehow
Britain decide what to do
The lives of our servicemen around the world
Could depend on you

Why should we leave this to them in London Town

The changing of days
Let us give up this time,
to give glory and praise.
To the world all around us,
to the changing of days.
We were born to be one,
to unite and hold hands.
But the war it continues,
still dividing the lands.
Such a sad time of year,
for the lonely and old,
Nothing worth giving in to.
nothing left to withhold.

Veterans Tribute
Veterans are those who stand up and fight.
Because they know this is right.
They cross the bright and shining sea.
To give us our chance to live and be free.

They leave their families and closest kin.
For God and country our lands they defend.
It’s time we pay tribute for all they have done.
They are ALL Heroes – each and everyone.

They did not do this for glory or even fame.
They did not set out to be Heroes – but that is their name.
To those many people that are red, white, and blue.
We stand up proudly today and say “THANK YOU!!!”

A Veteran’s Day Tribute

If someone has done military service,
They earn the title “veteran,” and more;
They earn our deep respect and admiration;
That they are special no one can ignore.

They sacrificed the comforts we enjoy;
The list is long of all the things they gave.
Our veterans are extraordinary people;
They’re loyal, dedicated, true and brave.

When terror and invasion were real threats,
They showed us they could handle any storm.
We owe our freedoms and our very lives
To our veterans, who served in uniform.

Our veterans should be celebrities;
They’re exceptional; no other group compares.
We’re grateful for the many things they’ve done;
They’re always in our hearts and in our prayers.

We owe our veterans support and friendship;
Let no one ever question what they’re worth.
These men and women served us and our country,
Our veterans–the very best on earth.
